Welcome to the Florida International University (FIU) SCUBA Club! By participating in our club activities, using our website, or purchasing our merchandise, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
Membership
Membership in the FIU SCUBA Club is open exclusively to FIU students, faculty, and staff.
We reserve the right to deny or revoke membership at our discretion.
Dive Trips and Activities
Participation in dive trips and other activities is subject to your agreement to release of liability waivers.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary certifications, equipment, and physical fitness to participate in diving activities.
Dive trips are subject to weather conditions and may be canceled or rescheduled at our discretion or the discretion of the dive operator.
Payments for dive trips are collected on-site at Diver's Paradise and are subject to their refund policies. The FIU SCUBA Club is not responsible for refunds related to payments made to Diver's Paradise.
Safety and Conduct
Safety is our top priority. You must follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the FIU SCUBA Club and dive operators.
You are responsible for your own safety and well-being during club activities.
We reserve the right to refuse participation in any activity if we believe it poses a safety risk.
​You are expected to conduct yourself in a respectful and responsible manner during all club activities.
Harassment, discrimination, or any other form of misconduct will not be tolerated.
Assumption of Risk
SCUBA diving and related activities involve inherent risks. You acknowledge and assume these risks by participating in club activities.
You agree to release the FIU SCUBA Club, its officers, and members from any liability for injuries or damages that may occur during club activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Intellectual Property
All content on our website and in our materials, including logos, trademarks, and images, is the property of the FIU SCUBA Club. You may not use this content without our prior written consent.
